Cost of Services

Clients are charged a fee for all services provided to them by the Public Trustee. Clients may also be charged for the services of external service providers when work is contracted out on their behalf. For example if a house needs to be sold, the client is responsible to pay Real Estate fees in addition to any fees payable for the activities of the Public Trustee.

If satisfied that hardship or unfairness will result from payment of a fee, the Public Trustee may reduce a fee.

Fees are regulated by the Provincial Government and can be viewed at New Brunswick Regulation 2008-56 under the Public Trustee Act.
